The artwork showcased below was completed by three groups of children in Puebla, Mexico, with whom I worked in October 2009. Two groups aged 6–11 and 11–13 made mobiles from card, wool, recycled materials, paint and crayons on the theme of "my future" – the kids depicted families, spouses, wrestlers, firemen, teachers, gardens, cars, swimming pools and houses. These children attend Juconi's day centre, the aim of which is to take kids away from working in the nearby market and into education. At Casa Juconi – a residential home for abandoned or street children – I worked with a group of 6 boys aged 10 to 14: we worked on three very different portrait projects, and a mural for the common room.
