A bit of background...
Time: Twenty years experience within the creative industries. Three years study leading to BA Graphic Design from Birmingham Institute of Art & Design. Around two years learning the trade before two years as Principal European Designer at Texas Instruments in Bavaria. Eleven years self-employment since. Two years as a part-time masters student at Warwick University earning MA (Distinction) International Design and Communication Management.
Place: Swindon, Wiltshire UK with forays into surrounding areas. Previous work in Bremen, Germany; Bavaria, Germany; Dallas, Texas and Puebla, Mexico. Based at a home office, visiting businesses and design agencies to provide freelance design services.
Size: Design work for small and medium sized enterprises, sole-traders, charities and great big corporations. Five foot two.
Words: Fluent German. Reasonable Spanish. Copywriting and editing. Straplines and concepts. Typographic pedant.
Also: Teaches English as a foreign language; delivers Creative & Media Diploma workshops; taught part-time Art and D&T to KS3 students; design workshops to kids from 8 to 18. I've written a cross-curricular primary schools education programme which is going into schools Autumn 2010
